“Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” this phrase translates to the elixir of independence but to an Indian, it means much more. As our juvenile nation of The Indian Republic comes across its 75th Independence Day it is a moment to savour, as this is the only day when people of all castes races and religions living in India, call themselves one common name of ‘Indian’ come together to jubilate around the state with great joy.

The journey of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav movement started on 12th May 2021 starting a 75-week countdown to our 75th independence day. The Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav movement aims to create a vision among the youth of India for the year 2047 which would be the hundredth year of independence and to look upon the achievements, the resolutions, and the ideas of these 75 years of India, it also aims to get the younger generation aware of the freedom struggle and what our ancestors went through to breath in free air, the sacrifices made by our leaders and how we reconstructed the ancient superpower to the boards again from the roots. The movement was based on the idea and progress that our nation has attained in self-sufficiency as per the mission announced by our honourable prime minister Mr Narendra Modi back in 2020.

Therefore, this Mahotsav is a festival of the awakening of the nation; the festival of fulfilling the dream of good governance; and the festival of global peace and development.”
