The Allen Forest Zoo of Kanpur was inaugurated on February 4, 1974, under the supervision of the IFS Officer R.S. Bhaduria. Ticket rates for zoo entry are Rs.70 for adults and Rs. 35 for the 5 to 12 age group. The area of the zoo is about 76.56 hectares (189.2 acres). There are around 1400 animals in the zoo. It is the largest zoological park in Northern India and the largest open green space in Kanpur.The zoo contains a wide variety of animals that are native to all parts of the Earth. This place is located near Nawabganj, Kanpur. The zoo is open for visitors on all days except Monday. Timings are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Paid e-cars are available for a 50 minutes ride.The Government has temporarily discontinued the toy trains due to an accident. There is also an Adventure Park for kids. Burma bridge, Twin rope, Zipline, and Rope bridge are some activities. The Jungle Safari in Zoo lets you enjoy a wide range of domestic and foreign animals including lions, crocodiles, deer, birds and more. It was a very adventurous trip
